BrixiaFly day

Prošlog vikenda sam imao zadovoljstvo da učestvujem na BrixiaFly danu i mogu iskreno reći da su osećanja bila apsolutno fenomenalna.

Pre svega, veliki kompliment ide Federiku Fišeru Petraliju i timu za odličnu organizaciju i besprekorno izvođenje događaja. Sve je proteklo glatko i na izuzetno visokom nivou, posebno impresivno s obzirom na to da je ovaj mladi događaj tek u drugoj godini. Iskreno hvala i Andrei Malzaniniju, za koga znam da me je ljubazno predložio da budem deo ovog sjajnog okupljanja.

Atmosfera tokom celog vikenda je bila izvanredna. Bilo je fantastično konačno lično upoznati toliko ljudi koje sam ranije poznavao samo preko ekrana, fotografija i lajkova njihovog rada. Prijatni razgovori, zajednička strast i nasmejana lica pratili su me svuda od prvog pozdrava do poslednjeg ćao.

Zaista sam uživao provodeći vreme sa kolegama iz Semperfli profesionalnog tima. Odlično društvo, sjajna atmosfera i baš prava količina zdrave opsesije vezivanjem mušica.

Sa ličnije strane, bilo je nemoguće ne osmehnuti se dok sam provodio vreme sa nekim zaista posebnim likovima: Moj brat od druge majke, Toni Flauer; Tetovirani ujak sa kapom iz Švedske, Karl Olofson; španski srcelomac, Migel Blanko Blaskez; i, kao i uvek, jedinstveni Umberto Oreglini, pravi italijanski gospodin, sa stilom, klasom i savršeno vezanim mušicama.

Nekoliko klubova se takođe odlično pobrinulo za posetioce sa izdašnim osveženjem… i iskreno – kako se očekuje da neko ostane vitak na ovakvim događajima? Došao sam da vežem mušice, a ne da testiram samokontrolu 😋🧀🍷

Na kraju, vezali smo mnogo mušica i još više prijateljstava. Bilo je prelepo, savršeno izbalansirano po dužini i intenzitetu, i održano na izuzetno visokom nivou za tako mlad događaj.
Hvala svima koji su ovaj vikend učinili nezaboravnim. Već brojim dane do sledećeg.

Original: Last weekend I had the pleasure of taking part at BrixiaFly Day, and I can honestly say the feelings were absolutely phenomenal.

First of all, a huge compliment goes to Federico Fisher Petrali and the team for the excellent organization and flawless execution of the event. Everything ran smoothly and on a remarkably high level, especially impressive considering this young event is only in its second year. A sincere thank you as well to Andrea Malzanini, who I know kindly proposed me to be part of this great gathering.

The atmosphere throughout the weekend was outstanding. It was fantastic to finally meet in person so many people I had previously known only through screens, photos, and likes of their work. Pleasant conversations, shared passion, and smiling faces followed me everywhere from the first hello to the last ciao.

I truly enjoyed spending time with Semperfli pro team colleagues. Great company, great vibes, and just the right amount of healthy fly-tying obsession.

On the more personal side, it was impossible not to smile while spending time with some truly special characters:

My brother from another mother, Tony Flower;
The tattooed uncle with a beanie from Sweden, Carl Olofsson;
the Spanish heartbreaker, Miguel Blanco Blázquez;
and, as always, the one and only Umberto Oreglini, a true Italian gentleman, with style, class, and perfectly tied flies.

Several clubs also took great care of visitors with generous refreshments… and honestly – how is one supposed to stay slim at events like this? I came to tie flies, not to test my self-control

In the end, we tied a lot of flies and even more friendships. It was beautiful, perfectly balanced in length and intensity, and held to an exceptionally high standard for such a young event.
